Yesterday it was ”Slippery when wet” when Kristianstad Rockfest kicked off and of course we would keep an eye on some awesome drummers. The choice fell on four bands Shiverpush, Going To Hell In A Chevy, Ström and Heretic Legion. It rained all day but what does it matter when there was good music.

First up was Shiverpush that yours truly has seen a few times. It has shared the stage with two of our sons’ bands Vesper. They play heavy metal with a pinch of trash and a pinch of death. Ralf behind the drums drives on well and has a good drive.

The second band was Going To Hell In A Chevy. It wasn’t so long ago that they appeared on this site with their tight AC/DC hard rock. But I like GTHIAC more, they have more nuances in their songs. Rikki is a rock behind the cans and he is a real hard rock drummer with a great groove.

My favorite band Ström doesn’t disappoint with their rock/hard rock in Swedish and Tomas Salonen does his thing and delivers a great solo every concert.

I was looking forward to seeing Heretic Legion and ending the evening with some brutal music is never wrong. Linus Fredriksson is both heard and seen on stage. But shit what empathy he has when he plays, wonderful.
