I spent Friday night at Plan B where the first day of Malmö Massacre kicked off. I only had the opportunity to cover Friday and my choice was easy, Defleshed and The Crown were on the menu. I also did an interview with Matte Modin of Defleshed hours before their gig.

I’ve never seen The Crown live, as far as I can remember, so I was looking forward to their gig. Their new drummer since 2022 Mikael Norén is a powerhouse behind the kit, a joy to see.

Matte Modin in Defleshed is almost synonymous with the phrase “forta trummor” (speedy drums) and this guy can play fast and with a groove few can achieve.
